Takamori 高森

I left Shirakawa-suigen, headed the next destination, Takamori yuusui tonneru koen. I took a walk for 3km.

白川水源から次の目的地、高森湧水トンネル公園まで約３km。天気が良かったので、てくてくお散歩。


Minami Aso, northern Aso, was surrounded by mountains. It was peaceful scenery.
阿蘇山や外輪山の山々を眺めながらのお散歩でした。なんて景色の良いところなのでしょう。南阿蘇。





Takamori town was soon.
外輪山の手前、高森の町はもうすぐです。


I arrived at Takamori yuusui tonneru koen. It was started construction as a train tunnel, but the water gushed out and the project stopped in 1975. In 1994 it was open as a park.
高森湧水トンネル公園。高森と延岡を結ぶ鉄道用のトンネルとして掘られていましたが、昭和50年入り口から約２kmの坑内で大出水し、計画中止となったそうです。
平成6年から、550mを公園として一般公開されました。



I entered the tunnel. There were decorations. I looked at them closer, then I found that drawings and ornaments were made by local people and children.
トンネル内には、ツリーや七夕の飾りなどが、つり下げられていました。よく見ると、地元の子どもたちの絵が手作りの小物なども、飾られていました。


I walked for 550m in the tunnel, reached the end. There was an attraction called Water Pearl.
550m歩くと、終点。トンネルをふさぐ壁からは、水が湧きだしていました。
その手前、ウオーターパールというものがありました。


The water flowed out from the upper of Water Pearl.
上部から水が吹き出しています。よく見ると、


These water balls fell slowly, then stopped. Then they started going up!
It was an optical illusion by the electronic flash. I felt like I was watching a magic trick.
水玉になって、落ちています。が、この水玉、ゆっくり落ちたり、止まったり、逆に上ったり！！！
特殊ストロボを利用した目の錯覚ですが、不思議で楽しくて！
夢中になって眺めていました。


I walked to Takamori station. Then I went to the airport, left Kumamoto.
This trip was only two days, but I found wonderful places in Kumamoto.
高森駅までお散歩。空港へ戻って熊本を後にしました。
１泊だけの小さな旅でしたが、良いとこたくさん発見の旅でした。
次は、緑の季節に訪れたいです。
