Noyaki 野焼き

There were many places on mountains burned off. It was called Noyaki, held for new plants in this time of every year. The smoke made hazy.
山のあちらこちらで、煙があがっていました。春の風物詩「阿蘇の野焼き」だそうです。野焼きの煙と黄砂のために、あたりは霞んでいたのですね。



I sometimes saw the roaring flames. They weren't real fire, were they?
遠くからでも、炎がはっきり見える場所もありました。大丈夫なのかしら。


The bus ran up the mountain, headed to Kurokawa-Onsen, I stayed on the night.
バスは外輪山を登り、黒川温泉へと向かいます。



There were black burned mountains.
あたりは黒い平原。ほうきを持ったり、何かを背負っている人たちがたくさん歩いていました。


On the next day, I went through same area by bus. I found the interesting message. How did they make it???
次の日、また同じ道を戻って外輪山の内側へ向かいました。その途中に見つけたメッセージ。「元気？」の文字のところだけ燃えてないのでしょうか？それとも？？？　バスから撮ったので、確認できず。
