Ainokura 1 五箇山 相倉集落

I got on the bus at Johana, headed to one of Gokayama, Ainokura. Our bus went up the mountain. When the bus went out from a tunnel, I was stunned. There were mountains and a valley. I couldn't believe that there were villages in such mountainous area. About 20 minutes ride from Johana took me to Ainokura-guchi bus stop, then I took a walk for five minutes, suddenly Ainokura Village appeared in front of me.

城端から乗ったバスは、坂をどんどん登って峠へ。途中、何カ所か崖崩れの工事中で一車線になっていた。城端の橋で出会ったおじさまの大雨の話を思い出した。
長いトンネルを抜けたら、そこは別世界のようでした。山々に深い谷。どこに集落があるのか、信じられませんでした。
城端から約20分で相倉口バス停。５分くらい歩くと急に視界が開けて、五箇山のひとつの相倉集落が現れました。



There were 7 or 8 guesthouses with thatched roof in the village.
7-8軒、民宿がありました。それぞれ、とても美しい。


It had a window on the roof.
屋根にも窓。


It was raining off and on. While it was raining, I was in this museum.
雨が降ったり、やんだり。民俗館に駆け込んで、雨宿り。屋根裏を見たり、お祭りのビデオを見たり、ゆっくり過ごしました。



They looked like tomatoes, but they were kind of eggplant.
ミニトマトのようですが、花なす。秋を感じます。



Tourists were getting few in the evening.
夕方が近づき、観光客も少なくなってきました。


Red turnips were sold.
赤かぶが売られていました。



The rain was getting heavy, so I headed to the guesthouse which I stayed on the night.
雨がまた降り出したので、宿に向かいました。


I had dinner with other guests around the fire.
相倉集落の茅葺きの民宿で一泊。同じ宿には京都、神戸、福山から来られた３組のご夫婦。いろりを囲んでお話を楽しみました。


I enjoyed dinner and talking with other guests, it was a great night.
みんなで夕食。イワナはよく焼けていて、頭から尾まで食べれました。
いろりを囲んでの団らん。心地よい時間と空間でした。
