Vence ヴァンス ２

I left Matisse’s Chapelle du Rosaire and I headed to the old town of Vence. I chose the different road from the road I had come to the chapel. I walked down on a steep slope, went over a small bridge, and walked up on a steep slope.
These buildings surrounded the old town, such as castle walls.
ロザリオ礼拝堂を出て、ヴァンス旧市街へ。歩いてきた道とは違う道を歩いてみようと、ヴァンスを見ながら急な下り坂を降りて小さな橋を渡り、急な上り坂を登ると着きました。
城壁のようなこの住宅が旧市街を取り囲んでいました。

There were narrow pathways, shops and restaurants.
細い路地には、お店やレストランが並んでいました。

There was Marc Shagall’s mosaic in the chapel.
この礼拝堂には、シャガールのモザイク画がありました。


I walked a lot in the small town.
てくてくお散歩。小さい町ですが、行ったり来たりとよく歩きました。



There were many fontaines in France.
フランスには、泉がたくさんありました。“eau potable” や元気な魚の絵の表示があれば「飲めます」。”eau non potable”や元気のない魚の絵は「飲めません」。


I bought bread and sweets, and I had them for lunch in this park which was an observation point.
フランスにはパン屋さんが多く、おいしい。ここでも店頭に並んでいたマカロンやキッシュなどに惹かれてたくさん購入。この展望の良い公園で昼食。
