Blue Mountains in 2006 ウオーキングツアー1

I joined a guided walking tour in the morning. The tour guide picked me up at the YH, took me to the entrance of the pathway. I met other visitors there, and we introduced ourselves.

午前中の約２時間、ガイドウオーキングツアーに参加しました。YHにお迎えの車が来て、遊歩道入り口まで連れて行ってくれます。そこで、参加者とツアーガイドが簡単に自己紹介をして、水のペットボトル１本渡され、出発。前日の天気予報と違い、良い天気。


We started walking. There were four visitors from England, NZ and Japan (me) and a guide in my grope.
参加者は、イギリス人女性とニュージーランド人夫婦、そして私の４人。ガイドを含めて５人という、こじんまりしたグループでした。


There were lots of things I saw for the first time, so I was very excited.
見るのもすべてが珍しくて、楽しい。地面もきれいな模様になっていたり。


That brown and white striped pattern under the light made a dreamy atmosphere .
その岩に光と影が当たって、幻想的な雰囲気でした。


I found eggs of frog and tadpoles in a puddle.
水たまりには、カエルの卵と小さなオタマジャクシたち。


Our guide picked up tools which Aborigine people had used, showed us them.
ガイドはアボリジニの人たちが使っていた石器を拾い上げて、見せてくれました。持って帰らないでね、とまた同じ場所に戻していました。


If my memory is correct, he explained about ants on the tree.
ガイドは時々立ち止まって、説明をしてくれました。これは、アリの説明だったような。。。


This tree was a kind of Banksia.
バンクシアの一種だったと思います。


We could see birds.
鳥たちにも出会えました。


There was an observation point, we were heading there.
視界が開けました。ブルーマウンテンズを見渡せる展望台に向かいます。
