Tazawa Lake 田沢湖

I found an information that Tazawa Lake and Dakigaeri Valley was good time for autumn color from the end of October to the beginning of November on the internet. I flew to Akita on November 2nd. On the first day of my trip, I visited Tazawa Lake.

11月初めの２連休。インターネットで秋田の田沢湖や抱返り渓谷では紅葉が見頃だと知り、花巻空港の往復のフライトに空席があったので、マイレージを利用して訪れた。
まず、たつこ伝説のある田沢湖へ。


I took a sightseeing boat. I’ve been to Tazawako YH for several times, but it was the first time to take the boat. If it had been a sunny day, the color would’ve brighter.

田沢湖のそばに田沢湖YHがあり、秋田駒ヶ岳へお花見散歩に出かける時などによくお世話になる。田沢湖YHを訪れるたびに、田沢湖畔をお散歩するけど、今回は初めて遊覧船に乗ってみた。
乗客は30-40人。出港と同時に遊覧船後方の甲板に出た。あれ、他の乗客たちは出てこないんだ。
あいにくの曇り空。晴れていれば、紅葉の色が映えるのだけど。
御座石神社の鳥居が見えます。


I didn’t know that the color of water was emerald green.
田沢湖の湖水の色。こんなにきれいだったとは、知らなかった。

黄金のたつこの像は、観光客に大人気。


I got off a boat. Then I rent a electric bicycle, and ran around the lake.
40分くらいの遊覧船を降りて、今度は田沢湖一周。約20km。電動自転車をレンタルしました。


I met Taiwanese people, they asked me to take photos.
台湾人らしき観光客たち。日本人だと思っていたら、写真を撮ってくださいと英語で言われたのでびっくり。


I enjoyed the autumn colors and cycling.
紅葉を楽しみながら、サイクリング。


The sunshine for a moment made the leaves bright.
一瞬、日が射して紅葉が鮮やかに。

The sunset time. I headed to Tazawako YH.
I met a German man who came to Japan for work at the YH. He woked for two weeks in Tokyo, then travelled for two weeks on his holiday. He said that a train station staff couldn’t speak English and he couldn’t use his computer, so he couldn’t get information about hot springs he wanted to visit. I told him about Nyuto onsen, how to get there and how nice they were. He visited Dakigaeri Valley where I planed to visit on the next day, He told me about there.

日が暮れてきました。何度も来ていますが、きれいな夕日になかなか出会えません。
田沢湖YHへ。国民宿舎もされていて、宿泊客は20人前後なのだけど、YH会員はドイツ人男性と私の２人だけ。田沢湖YHは角館に近いので、外国人と出会うことがとても多いのです。
そのドイツ人は、仕事のために初めて日本を訪れた。2週間の仕事の後、休暇を利用して２週間日本を旅しているとか。駅員は英語分からないし、インターネット使えないからと情報が得られず困ってる。明日、温泉に行きたいのだけれど、、、と。私は山歩きの後などに乳頭温泉を何度も訪れているので、それぞれの温泉について話した。彼は、私が次の日に予定していた抱返り渓谷を訪れたことや、駅からレンタサイクルを利用したことを話してくれた。YHではひとり旅でも寂しくないし、情報交換もできるのが良い。
