Iwami Ginzan 石見銀山 2

Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine became the World Heritage on July 2 in this year. The number of tourists is increasing rapidly.
I walked on a path along a stream from Rakanji to Ryugenji Mabu.
石見銀山は今年７月２日世界遺産に登録されて以来、観光客が急増しました。羅漢寺近くの駐車場には観光バスが並んでいました。
羅漢寺近くから龍源寺近くまで銀山遊歩道があり、そこを歩いてみました。渓流沿いの木々の中を歩きます。


Shimogawara-fukiyaato, a ruin of a refinery in the 17th century, was discovered in 1991.
下河原吹屋跡。17世紀の銀精錬遺跡。平成３年の発掘調査で発見されたそうです。


It was a ruin of a well.
井戸の跡もありました。


I walked up on the path, and saw cascades in the stream.
また遊歩道を歩きます。ガイドブックには、「龍源寺から羅漢寺の方向へ歩いた方が下りで楽です」と書いてありましたが、渓流沿いを歩くなら登った方が水の流れがきれいに見れて良い。坂も緩やかです。

清水谷製錬所跡。明治28年から１年半操業されていました。

ここに建物があったのですね。


I kept on walking, reached Ryugenji Mabu. There were more than 500 mine galleris and shafts called Mabu. Ryugenji Mabu was the only Mabu tourists walked in.
てくてく歩いて、やっと龍源寺間歩に到着。間歩は坑道のことで、数多く残っている間歩のうち、内部を歩けるのはここだけ。


Lots of miners dug little by little in the old days.
昔の人々が少しずつノミで掘り進んでいったのですね。


Each Mabu was given a number. Ryugenji Mabu was 500.
あちこちに間歩があり、入り口に番号がありました。龍源寺間歩は500番でした。


The weather was not bad and it was before noon. I decided to walk on a hiking path, Ginzan Kaido, to Yunotsu 12km ahead.
光に映えて、モミジがきれい。この時はまだ11時過ぎ。お天気もなんとかもちそうだったので、銀山街道を歩いて12km先の温泉津まで行くことにしました。
