Kohama-jima 小浜島1

I went back to Ishigaki-jima from Taketomi-jima. I stayed at Yashima-ryokan YH. The owner was a woman in her 80’s. She said “Do you want to put on kimono of Okinawa? You can choose one of them.” and showed me her kimonos. I put on yellow one.
On the last day of this trip, I had planed to visit around Ishigaki-jima by rental motorcycle. But I changed my mind in the morning. “I’m going to visit Kohama-jima!”
It took 25 minutes by boat from Ishigaki-jima.
I started walking from Kohama-pier, headed to Ufudaki.

竹富島から石垣島へ戻り、離島桟橋の近くの八洲（やしま）旅館YHで一泊。ここでは、ペアレントのおばちゃんが、どれか着物を着るかい？と沖縄の民族衣装を着せてくれた。朝はボリュームたっぷりの無料の朝ご飯。建物は木造２階建て。田舎のおばあちゃん家に帰ってきた、という感じで落ち着ける。
この３日間の旅行の最終日。石垣島をレンタ原ちゃりでまわろうと思っていたのだけど、なんとなく原ちゃりの気分になれなくて。朝ご飯の時、小浜島へ行こう！と思いつき、船で小浜島へ向かった。石垣島から25分。
小浜港から、てくてくお散歩。まず、大岳（うふだき）展望台に向かった。


I walked to the top of the hill, Ufudaki.
この山頂に大岳展望台があります。


I climbed up this steep slope. Sometimes butterflies welcomed and encouraged me.
大岳登山道を登る。距離は短いけど、急な坂。ときどき蝶が応援してくれます。もう少しだ〜、がんばれ〜。


Finally I reached the top of the hill! Nice view!!
I could see Ishigaki-jima over there. The small island between Kohama-jima and Ishigaki-jima was Kayama-jima.
頂上に到着。と、来て良かった〜〜〜と、とっても思ったさぁ〜！
うっすら石垣島が見える。手前の小さな島は嘉弥真島（かやまじま）。
島周囲はサンゴ礁のため、海の色が淡いブルー。



I enjoyed the splendid view for a while. Soon after, about ten people with a guide walked up to the place. They looked tired, but the moment they looked down the scenery, their faces turned into full of smile.
ここで、景色を楽しんでいると、約10人の中高年のツアー観光客の人たちがやってきた。つらい急な坂道のあとの、この景色。みんな感動してたね。
