Autumn in 2006 - Sekibutsu 石仏の道

There was a path called “Touo-no-sekibutsu-no-michi” between Gansenji and Joruriji for 2km. I took a walk on the path, saw statues.
This is Ichiganfudo. It is said that if you pray only one thing earnestly, the wish comes true.

岩船寺から浄瑠璃寺までの約2kmは、当尾の石仏の道。のんびり歩く。車いすは、一部の道では少し遠回りが必要。最初に出迎えてくれたのは、一願不動。ひとつだけ一心にお願いすれば、叶えてくださるとか。



Nemuri-botoke. (sleeping jizo) It has been sleeping for long time in the ground.
眠り仏。長い間、土の中で眠られています。かわいい仏様。


Warai-botoke. (laughing hotoke) It is the most famous statue among Touo-no-sekibutsu. It was leaned as if it was frying on the cloud.
ワライ仏。この当尾の石仏の中で、一番有名な阿弥陀三尊像。にこやかなお顔です。
斜めになっているところが、なんだか雲に乗って揺らいでいるようで、なかなか良いなぁ。



Karasunotsubo nison. Two Budda were carved in the front and the left side on the rock.
からすの壷二尊。正面と左側面に仏様がおられます。


Field of Chinese cabbages.
Vegetables were sold along the path.
白菜畑。みんな元気に育ってます。
お散歩道沿いでは白菜や大根など、売られていました。

Atago-toro. (lantern)
あたご灯籠。


Yabunonaka sanzon. (three hotokes in the bush) It was said that they were made in 1262, the oldest statue among Touo-no-sekibutsu.
やぶの中三尊。この当尾の石仏の中で最古のものと言われています（1262年）。里のすぐそばにあります。


I walked in the woods to see Mizunomi-jizo.
水呑み地蔵に会いに、林の中を歩く。落ち葉のじゅうたん。


Mizunomi-jizo. (drinking water jizo) You can drink spring water beside the jizo.
水呑み地蔵。近くにはわき水がありました。
