Imai-cho 今井町

I saw houses of Imai-cho in Nara on TV commercial recently.
I visited Imai-cho in February. I enjoyed walking around the town.

先日、TVコマーシャルで奈良県今井町の町並みが映った。
今年２月、今井町を訪れてのんびりお散歩したことを思い出した。
町並みの保存に、住民は協力している。


Just after I took this photo, a woman bent and came out from this small door.
この写真を撮った直後、年配の女性がこの小さな扉から身を屈めて出てきた。


There were narrow alleys.
細い路地も多い。





I could see inside some houses.
内部を見学できる家が数件ある。




I looked up the roof.
屋根裏を見上げる。
