Asuka 5 岡寺

I walked up a steep slope, reached at Okadera.
It was famous for SHakunage, rhododendrons.
急な坂を登ると、岡寺に着いた。シャクナゲが見頃らしい。


Botan (peony) with parasols welcomed me.
日傘をさしたボタンたちが、お出迎え。


They were bigger than Botans I had seen at Hasedera in February.
They were so gorgeous.
今年の２月、長谷寺で出会った冬牡丹よりずっと大きい。
豪華。



There were lots of Shakunages behind the main temple.
本堂を過ぎると、シャクナゲが一面に咲いていた。


They were so beautiful. They reminded me of Shakunages which I had seen on the mountains of Akita, Rishiri and so on.
シャクナゲって、こんなにも美しい。
秋田駒ヶ岳や利尻富士などで出会ったシャクナゲたちを思い出した。
