Asuka 甘樫丘

Today, I visited Asuka again. Genbu, a wall painting which was removed from Kitora-Kofun in Asuka was on exhibit at Asuka Historical Museum.
I started walking from Kashihara Jingu station. Soon after I entered Asuka, the scenery changed from houses to fields.

飛鳥資料館で、キトラ古墳の玄武の一般公開していると知り、また早起きをして、飛鳥を訪れた。
橿原神宮前から、てくてくお散歩。橿原市から明日香村へ入ったとたん、住宅地から田園風景へ一変した。


I saw excavation site for the first time in my life. It was fun to imagine of old times.
石神遺跡では、発掘調査が行われていた。
初めて発掘現場を見た。タイムスリップした気分。



I arrived at Asuka Historical Museum. There were many people, I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to see Genbu.
The color of Genbu was lighter than I had thought. It was nice.
I left the museum, took a walk among fields.

のんびり歩いていたので、飛鳥資料館はもう開館していた。
行列ができていて、20-30分待ち。でも数人ずつ展示室に入るので、ゆっくり見ることができた。思っていたより色は薄く、繊細な感じ。やはり写真より、実物を目にすると感動する。
飛鳥資料館を出て、ぶらぶらお散歩。
レンゲ畑をしばらく眺める。


The hill over there is Amakashi-no-oka.
田畑の向こうには、甘樫丘。


I climbed up Amakashi-no-oka.
甘樫丘に登ると、明日香村が見渡せる。


I could hear birds’ songs. Hojiro on a mirror.
鳥の声もよく聞かれる。ホオジロくん。いい声でした。


A duck was grooming.
毛繕い中のカモ。


Wadaike and Amakashi-no-oka.
和田池の向こうに甘樫丘。


Yukinoshita.
Asuka became one of my favorite places.
近くでは、ユキノシタが咲いていた。
飛鳥が好きになってきた。
