Skaftafell - Guesthouse Bölti -

Hótel Skaftafell is the nearest hotel from Skaftafell National Park (5km). I sent email 1 month before the trip and asked them if they had a bed in sleeping-bag accommodation. They replied “We don’t have sleeping-bag accommodation anymore. If you don’t have a car, it would much easier to stay in Guesthouse Bölti. Because it is in the National Park.” They told me its telephone number. I made a phone call to Bölti to make a booking.
Bölti was much more tidy and cozy than I had expected. They had two lodges. There were six beds, a toilet and a shower in a lodge. It cost 2500Ikr.
I shared a lodge with a couple of Dutch and two English women. They were friendly. The Dutch couple had been to many places in the world on their summer holidays every year. They said South America had been amazing.

スカフタフェットルホテルは、スカフタフェットル国立公園から最も近く（５km）、sleeping-bag accommodationもあるとガイドブックに書いてあったので、emailで予約できるか一ヶ月前に問い合わせた。すると、今はsleeping-bag accommodationはない。シングルの部屋は開いているが、車がないのなら、国立公園内にあるBöltiの方が便利だと思うよ。と返事があり、Böltiの電話とファックスの番号、ホームページのアドレスが添えてあった。Emailがないので、電話で予約した。電話の向こうは太い男性の声で、名前と宿泊日を告げると、「OK」。クレジットカードの番号などを聞かれると思っていたら、「では、待ってます。」と電話は終わった。
ちゃんと予約はできているのか、どんな部屋なのか、どきどきしながらBöltiのドアのベルを押すと、対応に出てきたのは、40歳代くらいの女性。奥からは子どもの声も聞こえた。家族の住む家のとなりに２棟宿泊の小屋があった。中にはベッドが６つ。トイレ、シャワー付き。一番奥の小屋がキッチン。どこもきれいに整頓されて、設備が整っている。とても快適。ベッドの上で、寝袋で眠る。一泊2500Ikrとアイスランドでは、安い。
ここでは、オランダ人カップル、イギリス人の女性２人と同室だった。オランダ人カップルは毎年３週間くらいの夏休みを利用して、世界中旅行している。南米はすごく良かった。今日は雨が降っているのでテントはやめて、ここに泊まることにしたんだと言っていた。イギリス人は一週間レンタカーで旅行して、一人は帰国。一人はバスであと一週間旅行らしい。みんな明るく楽しい。



I could see the vast sand field from Bölti. I said to two English women staying in the lodge “The rainbow appeared out side!”, they rushed out with their cameras.
Böltiは高台にあるので、景色がとても良い！　虹も見れた。
部屋にいたイギリス人に「虹出てるよー」と言うと、カメラを持って２人とも飛び出してきた。
