Taihe dian.
太和殿。


The emperor's chair.
ここに皇帝が座っていたのですね。







Zhonghe dian.
中和殿。皇帝が休息をとる場所だとか。


I noticed that there were many creatures on the roof.
屋根には、たくさんの動物。数が多いほど、位が高いのだとか。




Baohe dian.
一番奥にある、保和殿。



Each hall has stone carvings. They were passages for the emperor.
それぞれの建物には、皇帝だけが通れる石彫のレリーフがあります。


This stone carving was the biggest in the palace.
保和殿の一枚岩のレリーフは最大で、16.75mもあります。冬、氷の上を滑らせて、ここまで運んできたとか。



I moved to the residence area.
ここから先は、内廷とよばれる、皇帝一家の住居スペース。たくさんの建物が見えます。
