Amami - Ohama 大浜海浜公園

I wanted to see tropical fish and coral at aquarium. I get off the bus at Ohama-iriguchi, headed to Ohamakaigan-Koen. I walked down the steep slope for fifteen minutes.
バスで名瀬方面へ戻り、大浜入口で下車。サンゴを近くで見たくて、大浜海浜公園へ向かった。バス停からは急な下り坂を約15分。


At first, I had a lunch at a restaurant. While I was having lunch, I was hearing the sound of waves and looking the sea. I had a pleasant time.
タラソ奄美の竜宮の中にあるカフェで、まずお昼ご飯。海をながめ、波の音を聴きながらまったりとお魚の日替わり定食とハーブティーをいただく。


I entered in Amami Kaiyotenjikan. There was a big water tank in front of the entrance.
奄美海洋展示館を入ると、大きな水槽の中のカラフルな魚やウミガメが歓迎してくれた。


Ishikawa-gaeru, it was said the most beautiful frog in Japan. They live in Amami and Okinawa.
イシカワガエル。日本で一番美しいカエルと言われているとか。奄美と沖縄に生息している。全く動かないので作り物かと思った時、のどが動いた。


Onihitode, these starfish eat coral. Increased number of Onihitode damaged coral reef in Amami and Okinawa.
サンゴの天敵、オニヒトデ。数年前、オニヒトデが大発生して、サンゴがかなりダメージを受けたらしい。


A hermit crab. It was so cute!
たしか、やどかりの一種だったと思う。かわいーい。


I visited there to see them.
生きてるサンゴとカラフルなおさかな。これが見たかったのー。


Ohama beach. I saw a whale jumping on the day before.
大浜海岸。前日、この沖にクジラがやってきた。


I spent the last night at Tatsuya-Ryokan. I talked to the owner and other guests, I had a great time.
On the last day of this trip, it was still raining. I decided that I would visit Amami Park and catch early flight.
I met a bus driver at the bus terminal in the morning, he said “Good morning” and smiled at me. He was familiar to me... I remembered! He was the driver who took me from Koniya to Mangrove Park three days before.
I had many opportunities to talk to local people in this trip. They were friendly. Each of them is precious memory for me.

奄美での最後の夜も、たつや旅館で過ごした。
次の日も朝から雨。空港近くの奄美パークに寄った後、早めのフライトで帰路につくことにした。
朝、バスの運転手が笑顔で「おはようございます」。なぜか、お会いした事があるような。。。と、思い出した。この３日前に古仁屋から乗ったバスの運転手さんでした。
今回の奄美の旅では、人ってあたたかいと、実感した旅でした。次回は山や海の野生生物たちに会いに来たいなぁ。ハブは遠慮したいけど。
