Perth 1 パース

September 7th was the first day of my Western Australia trip. I left my backpack at Perth City YHA where I stayed on that night, headed to Perth Zoo. It was around 8am, so I was strolling in a park before visiting the zoo.

9月7日、空港からパース市内に着いたは午前7時過ぎ。まずパースYHへ行って、バックパックをチェックインまで置いておきたいのだけれど、と言うとヘルメットを渡された。「この奥に荷物置きがあるから」と。？？？　よく見ると、ヘルメットにはカードキーがついていて、それが荷物置きの部屋の鍵でした。
荷物を置いて、街へ。パース動物園へ行こうと思いましたが、時間が早かったので、まず公園をぶらぶら。


It looked like a real kangaroo was drinking water.
カンガルーが水を飲んでいますね。口から水が出ていて、水面に波紋ができていました。

A bird was singing on the ear of the kangaroo.
カンガルーの耳には、小鳥がとまっていました。




It was spring in Australia. There were lots of lovely flowers.
オーストラリアは春。花がたくさん咲いていました。

Western Australia 西オーストラリアの旅

I just came back from Western Australia. The first time to visit Perth to watch lovely wild flowers was in 2002. It was a wonderful trip for me. And I planed to visit the world heritage listed area of Shark Bay in this time.
I arrived at Perth Airport on September 7. I stayed in Australia for 8 days.
When I watched parrots flying in the sky, pelicans floating on the river and red soil, I felt I came back to Australia. This trip was the sixth time to come to Australia. Every time I was astonished by incredible nature.

西オーストラリア。ワイルドフラワーが美しいところ、と聞いて初めて訪れたのは2002年。そして今回一番の目的は、世界自然遺産のシャークベイ。
9月7日、パース空港に着いたのは午前６時頃。空港を出ると「あー」とカラスの声。空にはカラフルなオウムが飛び、川にはペリカンが浮かんでいる。赤い大地。オーストラリアへ戻って来たんだ、と実感した。
オーストラリアは６回目。いつも素晴らしい自然に驚かされます。

Taketomi 竹富島 5 朝散歩

Birds' songs woke me up. I took a walk with a woman who shared a room with me in the early morning.
アカショウビンの声で目覚めました。同室者の女性と、朝散歩に出かけました。


I saw birds while walking, but it was difficult to find ruddy kingfishers.
鳥たちがたくさんいましたが、アカショウビンの姿はなかなか見れません。




There was a shrine by the sea.
海のそばの御獄。


A green pigeon was looking down us.
アオバトもいました。


I kept walking alone, tried to find ruddy kingfishers. A water buffalo was blocking me. I had to go back and walk another path.
女性と別れ、一人でアカショウビンを探しに歩いていると、水牛が道をふさいでいました。仕方なく、Uターン。


I walked to the direction of ruddy kingfishers' song. Suddenly a ruddy kingfisher flew in front of me. I was impressed!
アカショウビンの声の方へと歩きました。と突然、私の目の前をアカショウビンが横切って行きました。感激!!


I came back the YH, had breakfast.
YHへ戻って、朝食。お散歩の後のごはんは、おいしい！


I spent at a visiter center, Yugafu-kan, until the noon. There was an elderly woman who lived in the island and told tourists about the island. When I talked to her, I said I liked Taketomi Island's songs. Then she began singing songs for me. I was really happy, felt like it was a precious gift.

石垣島へ戻る前、ゆがふ館を訪れました。ゆがふ館には、住民のおばあが訪れた人たちに声をかけたり、展示物の説明をしていました。「毎日、交代でここに来るんだよ」と。この日、来館者は数えられるほど。
前回竹富を訪れた時に竹富の歌のCDを買って大好きになったことをおばあに話すと、おばあは歌いだしました。ゆがふ館には歌詞が書いてある冊子があったので、それを見ながら、意味を教えてもらいながら、昔の話や島の生活の話をしながら。節がなんとなくわかると、一緒に歌って。「下手な歌でごめんね」と言われるが、お腹から発する声は、ゆがふ館全体に響きます。
旅の最後におばあからもらった、竹富の生歌というとても嬉しい贈り物でした。

また旅に出てきます。10日間ほどお休みします。

Taketomi 竹富島 4 夕暮れ

I went to watch the sunset to Nishisanbashi with other guests after dinner. More than fifty tourists gathered there.
夕食後、YHの他の宿泊者と一緒に、西桟橋へ夕日を見に行きました。50人以上の観光客たちが集まっていました。
残念ながら、雲のために夕日は見れず。


A strange phenomenon occurred in the sky.
でも間もなく、自然の不思議を見ました。





After that, it was getting dark quietly.
最後のオレンジの光。あとは静かに暗くなっていきました。

Kondoi Beach. It was more beautiful than I had expected.
コンドイビーチ。とってもきれいでした。






There were many hermit crabs.
カイジ浜では、ヤドカリがたくさん。

Taketomi 竹富島 2 お散歩

I thought it was strange that fruits put on the trunk.
木の幹から直接実がなっているなんて、不思議。



It was very hot. I took a walk in the shade of trees as much as possible.
日なたは、暑い。できるだけ木陰を選んで、てくてくお散歩。






This butterfly was called Sujigurokabamadara. I saw them at the previous trip.
スジグロカバマダラ。前回の旅でも見かけました。

Taketomi 竹富島 1

I visited Taketomi on July 10. It was the third time to visit there, I always felt relaxed while staying on the island.
西表島から石垣島経由で竹富島へ訪れたのは、7月10日。YHで一泊しました。
竹富島は３度目ですが、夏は初めて。ここは、いつ来ても落ち着きます。







Nishisanbashi. I could see Iriomote Island over there.
西桟橋。現在は使われていないようです。西表島が近くに見えました。



I noticed dark clouds.
左側の方を見ると、黒い雲が。


I thought it was a tornado. It must had been raining there.
竜巻かと思いました。局所的に雨が降っているのでしょう。
自然は不思議。
