Queenstown クイーンズタウン 2

 After Milford Track Guided Walk, I stayed at Queenstown Lakefront YHA one night. On the following day, I took a walk in Queenstown. I went up a hill by cable car. It was an amazing scenery!

ミルフォードトラックガイド付きウオークを終えて、再びクイーンズタウンレイクフロントYHAで一泊。次の日は、クイーンズタウンをお散歩。

ロープウエイで、街を見渡せる丘へ。レストランやショップ、バンジージャンプやリュージュなど楽しめる。

 I visited Kiwi Birdlife Park to see Kiwi and other native birds.

キーウィを見たくて、キーウィ＆バードライフ・パークへ。

 Kiwi is active at night. It was completely dark in the Kiwi house. When I adjusted to the darkness, I could see kiwi walking.

キーウィって、一種類だけでないのですね。

キーウィは夜行性なので、飼育室は真っ暗。目が慣れてくると、動き回るキーウィの姿が見えてきました。

 There were New Zealand's native birds in this woods.

小さな森の中に、NZの鳥たちが保護されています。

 Morepork (Ruru) is New Zealand's only native owl. I met one on Tiritiri Matangi Island later.

NZには数種類のフクロウがいますが、ネイティブのフクロウはこのMorepork (Ruru) だけとか。お昼寝中。後日、Tiritiri Matangi Islandで出会えるとは。。。
