Grimsey グリムセイ島 2

Grimsey is the northmost part of Iceland.
グリムセイ島は、アイスランド本土の北。北極圏内にありますが、近くを暖流があるために穏やかな気候。緑色がアイスランドの本島。赤い丸がグリムセイ島の位置。


The population is around 150.
グリムセイ島の港の周辺にほとんどの島民が住んでいます。人口は約150人だとか。


I walked toward the town.
宿から集落へ、約10分。


There were countless sea gulls.
すごい数のカモメ。



They have white dots on their cheeks.
ほっぺが白い、水鳥。


They is only one restaurant and one grocery store on the island.
島唯一のレストランと食料品店。


Most of villages in Iceland have warm swimming pools.
アイスランドには、小さな村にも温水プールがあるのですが、グリムセイ島にもあるみたい。




I saw a ferry which just arrived. The ferry between Dalvik and Grimsey is operated three times a week. Most of tourists are on one day trip, spend a few hours in this island.
２日目、お散歩中にフェリーがやってきました。週に３回。飛行機は毎日１便あるので、フェリーと飛行機の組み合わせで、島に1.5時間から4時間滞在して日帰りで本島へ戻る観光客がほとんどです。




I often saw artistic works in Iceland. I remembered one in Heimaey Island in 2006.
アイスランドは芸術的なものが多いと思う。ヘイマエイ島にも、ありました。
