On June 16, I joined Reykjavik Excursions's day tour "Diamond Circle"

6月16日。Reykjavik Excursions の「Diamond Circleツアー」に参加。朝から夜中までのツアーで、氷河や滝、間欠泉などを巡る。
YHに迎えのバスがやってきて、バスターミナルでツアーメンバーと合流。添乗員２人と、ツアー客３人。アイルランドからのカップルと一緒でした。


There were five people on 4WD vehicle, two tour guides, a couple from Ireland and me.
車窓を楽しみながら、おしゃべりを楽しみながら、4WD車は走ります。


The first destination was Deildartunguhver thermal spring.
最初の停車は、デイルダルトゥングクヴェル温泉。湯気が見えてきました。


Deildartunguhver thermal spring produces 180 liters of water per second, the largest output of any thermal spring in the world.

私はこの数週間前にTVでここの風景を見ていたので、少し興奮して「日本のTVで紹介されてました。」と言ってました。
温泉は、毎秒180リットル湧き出し、世界で一番だそうです。


It reminded me of Tamagawa Onsen in Akita Prefecture.
秋田県の玉川温泉を思い出しました。

The pipe is the longest in Iceland, 64 km.
温泉パイプは64キロで、アイスランドで一番長いパイプだそうです。


There were many greenhouses around there.
温室がありました。


Tomatos are cultivated in greenhouses.
温室栽培のトマトが売られていました。


We headed to amazing waterfalls.
次は、予想していなかった風景に出会いました。
