Taisetsuzan in 2006, Midoridake 緑岳

We arrived at the top of Midoridake. We couldn’t see the scenery clearly because of the mist. It was still raining and windy.
緑岳頂上に到着。冷たい風が吹き、雨は続いてる。紅葉の風景は霧で見え隠れ。


I could see stripes of red and yellow vaguely.
谷沿いに続く紅葉がうっすら見える。



Midoridake from the bottom. There were lots of rocks on the steep trail. I could hear nakiusagi (they are a kind of rabbit, don’t have long ears, look like mice, live on the mountains.) making warning sound.
緑岳を振り返る。岩場が多い、急な坂。時々ナキウサギの声が聞こえた。


It was sunshine over there, not here. I saw the rainbow after that.
向こうは晴れてる。この後、虹も現れた。


Midoridake. The pathway was muddy and slippery at some places.
緑岳を振り返りながら、てくてくお散歩。ここは、木道になっているが、ぬかるんだ場所もあり、とても滑りやすかった。


We walked down in the woods, headed to Kogenonsen.
When I arrived at Kogenonsen, I met a local man who I had met here 10years ago. I was so glad to meet him again.
I took a bus to get back to Sounkyo YH.
下山していくにつれ、徐々に木が大きくなる。森の中を歩き、高原温泉に向かった。下山した時には、手はむくんでぷくぷく。下山届を書くのにとても時間がかかった。ここでは、営林署のおじさんと10年ぶりのうれしい再会。
バスに乗って、層雲峡YHに戻った。
