Milford Track Guided Walk 6

 It was a beautiful day. I could see mountains covered with snow.

木々の中、鳥たちを眺めながら歩いていると、急に視界が開けました。

すごい～！！

 There were countless waterfalls!

あちらこちらに滝があります。

 Paradise shelduck (Putangitangi)

池では、Paradise shelduck (Putangitangi)が食事中。

 I arrived at Hirere Shelter. Our guides had prepared hot drink, cold drink and refreshments for us.

Hirere Shelterに到着。ここでランチです。ガイドさんたちが、暖かい飲み物やジュースなどを準備してくれています。他のメンバーたちは食事を終えて、出発準備をしていました。

 I saw waterfalls while I was having lunch.

滝を見ながらのランチ。

 There was a stream by the hut.

Hirere Shelterのすぐそばには、川が流れています。

 I could see trouts.

トラウト。ウナギも住んでいるそうです。

 I started walking.

さぁ、出発。この日は、とても天気が良い。

 Mackinnon Pass First view.

次の日に越える、マッキンノン峠が見えてきました。

 A guide pointed at Mackinnon Pass and said "We can see the hut for tomorrow's lunch"

ガイドが「マッキンノン峠の上に、明日のランチの場所が見えますよ」と。カメラの望遠で見てみると、

 That's it.

見えました！

I often heard the beautiful song of Bellbird. But it was so difficult to see them.

美しい声だけど、なかなか姿が見れないBellbird (Korimako,makomako)。ミルフォードトラックでは、この時しか撮れませんでした。
