Lantern Festival ランタンフェスティバル 12

 There was a departure ceremony of Maso procession at Confucius Temple. Maso is the goddess of the sea. I could see the rehearsal, too.

孔子廟では、媽祖行列の出発式がありました。航海安全の媽祖神の行列で、江戸時代に行われていたものを再現したものだそうです。

出発式の前に予行演習があって、２度も見れたのがラッキーでした。

 The ceremony began.

行列のみなさんが集まって、出発式が始まりました。

 This is a performance for good fortune.

みんなの幸せを願う儀式が始まります。

 They were magnificent!

素晴らしい！

 Maso procession started.

さぁ、行列が出発です。

 I went to Former Chinese Quarter, waited Maso procession.

唐人屋敷跡あたりで、行列を待ちました。

 That man was holding the statue of Maso.

男性の手にあるのが、媽祖神。興福寺まで行列は進むそうです。

I really enjoyed Nagasaki Lantern Festival!
