Maruonotaki 丸尾の滝

 I stayed at Kirishima Iwasaki Hotel. The hotel has a hot spring called Einoo Onsen, my favorite hot spring. Except the time between the end of July to August, you have to stay at the hotel to take the hot spring. I could see Kagoshima Bay from my room. I also could see  the smoke rising from Sakura-jima.

昨年からお気に入り一番となった、栄之尾温泉（緑渓湯苑）のある、霧島いわさきホテルで一泊。栄之尾温泉は、７月下旬から８月までは日中も水着で入浴できますが、それ以外の時期は夕方と夜間のみで宿泊者のみ。

渓流の音を聞き、小さな滝を見ながら、小さな灯りの元、ゆっくりできます。6-7つある湯から、渓流の水が少し流れ込む、ぬるめの湯でのんびりしました。

部屋からは、鹿児島湾が望めました。湯煙の向こうに、桜島の噴煙。

 After I checked out the hotel, I went to Yunotani Onsen by bus. I walked up from the bus stop about 10 minutes.

バスで湯之谷温泉へ。バス停から山道を登ると、湯之谷山荘があります。

前回、ここでは地元の人たちとの出会いがありましたが、今回はひとりぼっちでした。

 I walked from Yunotani Onsen to Maruo. There was a nice waterfall on my way to Maruo.

湯之谷温泉から丸尾まで、てくてくお散歩。途中に丸尾の滝があります。

Maruonotaki. I was impressed the flow of water on columnar joints. I remembered Genbudo and Iceland.

これまで玄武洞やアイスランドなどで柱状節理の景色を堪能してきました。今回、柱状節理上の水の流れが、以前訪れた時以上に感動でした。
