To Broome ブルームへ

Bungle Bungle Range. The nearest town is Kununurra. But It took a few days to get to Kununurra from Japan. So I joined 4-days-tour from Broome to visit Bungle Bungle Range and other places in Kimberley. However it was a long way, too. I had to change planes twice at Tokyo and Perth. It took about 24 hours to get Broome from my home.

バングルバングルへはカナナラが近い（300km以上離れているが）けれど、カナナラへたどり着くのに日にちがかかる。そこで見つけたのが、今回参加したキンバリー地方の他の観光地も訪れることができる、ブルーム発着４日間の旅。では、ブルームへは？　いろいろ検討した結果、カンタス航空で、関空から東京とパース経由でブルームへ。乗り換え時間を含めて約24時間かかりました。
パースに着いたのが午前５時台。国際線から国内線へは連絡バスで、乗客は私ひとり。カンタス航空の乗り換えなら無料なので、搭乗券を見せると、半券を切り取られ。。。半券なしで、本当に飛行機に乗れるの？と思わず聞いてしまいました。


I took a domestic airplane from Perth to Broome.
パースからブルームへ。窓側の席が空いていたので、移動して大地を眺めた。パース近くは、畑があるようです。


August was in the dry season. These clouds disappeared soon.
しばらくすると、人の住んでいる気配がなくなりました。乾期なので、雲はすぐに消えました。



Red Earth. Australia!
赤い大地。オーストラリアという実感がわきます。


I wondered what was like on the striped pattern field.
もうすぐブルームという頃、ストライプの大地になりました。


They looked like huge pictures on the ground.
自然の地上絵が見えてきそう。


Finally I arrived at Broome.
ブルームに着きました。強い日差しと青空の歓迎。


Broome International Airport was small.
ブルーム国際空港は、小さな空港です。

There was a baobab tree in front of the airport. At the time, I didn't know that there were lots of baobab trees in Western Australia, so I was excited and took photos of it.
空港から宿まで700-800mなので、歩きました。
これは、バオバブの木！　この時は、この旅で何百本というバオバブを見るとは知らず、感激していました。


It had fruits.
実がなっていました。


I stayed at Kimberley Klub YHA on the night. It has a swimming pool and hammocks. I shared a room with Australian people on their vacation.
宿はKimberley Klub YHA。プールやハンモックがあって、リゾート気分。
部屋には２段ベッドが３つあり、同室者はみんなオーストラリア各地からやってきて、ビーチで休暇を過ごすという人たちでした。
