Summer Palace 頤和園 1

The last destination of my Beijing trip was the Summer Palace, Yihe Yuan. I spent there in the morning until I headed to the airport.

７月下旬の北京の旅。３日目は、昼過ぎの便で帰国。午前中はどこへ行こうかしら、とガイドブックを見ていると「頤和園」が午前6時30分から開園していることに気付いた。昨年開業したばかりの地下鉄４号線で向かいます。途中の駅近くに大学があるので、朝は学生で混雑でした。
頤和園の北宮門から入場。



I noticed painting of birds on the ceiling.
天井には、ツルのような鳥の模様。



I heard something. Two men were walking and carrying a bell. It must be a kind of morning ritual.
２人の男性が、鐘を鳴らしながら歩いていました。それを建物の前で迎える女性たち。朝の儀式なのでしょう。


It was hard to climb up the hill in the temperature of around 36℃.
万寿山を越えます。気温約36℃での登りは、大変でした。








I reached the top of the hill.
やっと登りきりました。


I walked down towards the center of the Summer Palace.
さぁ、頤和園の中心部へ。
