Punalu'u Beach プナルウ黒砂海岸

I was on a day-tour to go around the Big Island, Hawaii Island.
Punalu'u Beach Park. There were turtles having a nap on the black beach.

ハワイ島には、バスなど公共移動手段があまりないので、現地ツアーに参加しました。
プナルウの黒砂海岸。ウミガメたちが、お昼寝中でした。
触れたり、4.5m以内に近寄ってはいけません。


This is the first time to watch wild turtles in my life.
自然のウミガメを見るのは初めて。感動。



Lava sand. It reminded me of the white beach, Shell Beach in Western Australia.
黒砂は、溶岩の砂ですね。以前、西オーストラリアでも、こうして写真を撮ったことが、、、シェルビーチの貝殻でした。


The lava flowed into the sea in the past. It reminded me of Iceland.
流れてきた溶岩が、ここで海に流れたのですね。アイスランドを思い出した。


Someone said "It's moving!" The Big Island has a lot of wonderful nature.
誰かが言った。「あっ、動いた！」
豊かな自然。ハワイ島は素晴らしい。

Kailua Kona カイアル・コナ 2

People gathered along the beach to see the sunset.
もうすぐ日没。海岸沿いには、たくさんの人が集まっていました。

Kona Airport was in the middle of lava field. It reminded me of my Iceland trip. It took about 15 minutes to Kailua Kona by car. I stayed at Kailua Kona for three nights.

コナ空港からカイアル・コナまで、約15分。途中は溶岩台地が広がり、アイスランドを思い出した。違うのは、道路沿いにブーゲンビリアの花が咲き、ノニの実がなっていた。
4000m以上の山の西側のコナあたりは、雨が少なく町をはずれると木々のない風景が多い。一方、東側は雨が多くて緑が多いと、運転手さんが話してくれました。


I took a walk in the town. It was a delightful wall painting, as if they were saying "welcome to Hawaii Island"

カイアル・コナの町に入り、最初に印象に残ったのが、この魚の顔。「ようこそ」と言っているように見えた。




I often saw huge trees in the island.
ハワイ島では、こんな大きな木をよく見かけました。


There were a lot of shops, restaurants and hotels in the town.
海沿いを、てくてくお散歩。カイアル・コナには、ホテルやショップ、レストラン、スーパーなど集まっていて便利。





Hulihee Palace. It was open as a museum. Royal family's furniture was gorgeous.
フリヘエ宮殿。現在は博物館になっていて、説明をしてくれるスタッフが３人くらいいました。英語での解説は速くて聞き取れませんでしたが、質問をすると丁寧に教えてくれました。

I thought the sunset must be beautiful here. I came back to this place in the evening.
夕日がきれいに見えそう。夕日の時間に、また来よう。

Hawaii Island ハワイ島へ

I had wanted to visit Barcelona, the Great Wall of China and Hawaii Island for several years. Last year I had great time at Barcelona and the Great Wall of China. In this year I flew to Hawaii Island.

行ってみたいと思っていた場所。昨年５月にバルセロナ、ガウディ建築の旅。昨年７月に北京、万里の長城の旅。そして、今年１月に念願叶って、ハワイ島。


I changed planes at Honolulu Airport.
オアフ島のホノルルで、ハワイ島行きの飛行機に乗り換え。


January is in the wet season. It was raining at Honolulu.
１月は雨期。ホノルルは涼しく、雨が降っていました。


I arrived at Kona Airport.
ホノルルから約40分で、ハワイ島コナ空港。


The airport building looked like houses.
かわいい空港。



There was a tree in front of the airport.
空港前で、気になる木。



I noticed a fruit.
実を発見。


I stayed at Kailua Kona for four days.
コナに３泊の旅です。

Kuroishi Onsenkyo 黒石温泉郷

I stayed Tsugaru region in Aomori prefecture for two days. After I left Goshogawara, I stayed at a hotel in Hirosaki one night. Last time I visited Hirosaki was Hakkoda Walk in 2009.
On the second day of my Tsugaru trip, I headed to a hot spring resort, Kuroishi Onsenkyo. I bought 2 days Tsugaru Free Pass for transportation.

津軽、１泊２日の旅。五所川原のたちねぷたで感動した後、弘前で一泊。前回弘前で宿泊したのは、2009年の八甲田ウオークの時。
２日目は黒石温泉郷へ。今回の旅では、空港バス以外は、２日間乗り放題の「津軽フリーパス」でバスや電車を利用しました。


I took a train from Hirosaki to Kuroishi, then I got on a bus.
黒石からバスに乗り換え、黒石温泉郷へ。静かな山あいの地でした。紅葉の終わり11月の景色です。



I went to a public hot spring. It was simple. but so nice. I talked to local people while soaking in the bath.
バスの運転手さんに教えてもらった、落合温泉の公衆浴場。透明の湯で、なんともいえないほど気持ち良い！　地元の人たちが次々とやってきました。


Then I went to Tsugaru Kokeshi Kan next to the bathhouse.
温泉のすぐそばに「津軽こけし館」がありました。



Kokeshi, Japanese wooden dolls, are originally from northern Japan. The appearance varies with the artist and the district.
こけしは、作者によって、地域によって、違います。



An artist was making Kokeshi in front of us.
伝統工芸士の阿保六知秀さんが、実演中でした。


Tsugaru Densho Kogeikan. You can see demonstrations of local craftwork and enjoy local food.
同じ敷地内の「津軽伝承工芸館」
津軽塗や手焼きせんべい、ねぷたなどの工房や、津軽の味が楽しめます。


Bunako work.
ブナコ細工。初めて知りました。


Buna (beech tree) of tape are formed products such as plates, dishes and so on.
ブナの木を細いテープ状に切り、手で巻きながら形成するそうです。木目が美しい。


Tsugaru Samisen.
津軽三味線の演奏。


There were countless apple orchards in Tsugaru.
レストラン横に会ったリンゴの木。五所川原へ向かった津軽鉄道の車窓からも、たわわに実ったリンゴ畑が見られました。



I had Kuroishi Tsuyu Yakisoba.
レストランで、地元の「黒石つゆやきそば」


I bought this snack made from macaroni.
ここで買った、マカロニのポン菓子。意外な美味しさで、ついお土産に買ってしまいました。
