Lizard トカゲ

Our bus suddenly stopped, the driver got off and walked behind the bus. He was looking at something on the road. We got off to see what he was looking at. It was a lizard.

バスが急停車して、ドライバーが外へ。どうしたのだろうと車内がざわざわ。
どうやら何かを見つけて停車したということがわかり、みんな外へ。
そこにはこのトカゲ。


Our driver told us about it.
みんな輪になって、説明を聞きます。




The lizard was taken photos, then released.
記念撮影された後、てくてく大草原に戻って行きました。


There were wild flowers blooming everywhere.
ここもどこも、ワイルドフラワーいっぱいです。

Termite mound 蟻塚

On September 10 in 2008, We were on our way to the beach in Coral Bay.
9月10日。５日間バスツアーの３日目。
15人とドライバー兼ガイドの16人で出発。
この日はさらに北へ向かい、コーラルベイのビーチで一日過ごす。
バスは心地よい音楽が流れ、時々ドライバーが話をしてくれる。


We spent all day at the beach on that day. We took a glass bottom boat and enjoyed snorkeling.
途中、こんな魚が見れるかもと、まわってきました。
この日はグラスボートに乗り、希望者はスノーケリングができる予定。


We were on the bus ran more than 2000km on this tour. It was fun to me to see changing scenery.
変わりゆく車窓を楽しむ。何時間バスに乗っていても楽しい。この辺りには、人工物はほとんどみられない。。。
この旅では、５日間で2000km以上の移動距離。車窓を楽しめない人は、苦痛かも。

モーニングティー休憩。


They used to work hard.
昔は活躍していたのでしょう。



It must be a big river in the rainy season.
乾期のために、川には水がありません。雨期には水が悠々と流れているそうです。


Is it a solar panel?
ソーラーパネル？　突然の人工物にびっくりしました。


I noticed something brown. They were mounds of termites.
茶色の物体が点々と見えてきました。家かなと思いましたが、それにしては小さい。実は、蟻塚です。


Some of them were so big!
帰り道に、大きな蟻塚の近くでバスを止めてくれました。こんなに大きい！

Carnarvon カナーボン

Western Australia trip in September. I put some of photos on this blog last year, such as Eagle Bluff, Shell Beach and stromatolites. Now we are heading to Carnarvon from Monkey Mia in Shark Bay.

昨年９月に訪れた、西オーストラリアの旅。途中まで紹介しましたが、その続きです。
このイルカは、世界遺産シャークベイ内にある、モンキーマイアのビーチで出会いました。
Eagle Bluff、シェルビーチ、ストロマトライトを見学した後、次の宿泊地のカナーボンへ向かいました。


We enjoyed wild flowers on our way.
途中、ワイルドフラワーを楽しみました。







We had afternoon teatime. There were posters of Shark bay.
アフタヌーンティー休憩で見かけた看板。
世界遺産シャークベイは、ホント良かった〜。



We got to Carnarvon in the evening. This satellite dish is the symbol of this town.
夕方、カナーボンに到着。このパラボラアンテナは直径約30mもあり、この町のシンボル。


Carnarvon is famous for banana in Australia.
カナーボンはバナナの栽培もされていました。


We stayed here two nights.
ここで2泊。「明日は、ビーチへ行く準備をして集まってください」とドライバー。


I took a walk after check-in to see the sunset.
近くをお散歩。夕陽がきれいでした。

Museum of Insects 伊丹市昆虫館

I visited Itami City Museum of Insects.
昆陽池公園内に、伊丹市昆虫館があります。
入り口から、楽しい。


There was a greenhouse. Lots of butterflies were fluttering in it.
ここには、展示室のほか、チョウ温室がありました。
約1000匹のチョウが、年中飛んでいます。


I saw most of them in Okinawa.
八重山諸島で出会ったチョウたちもいました。


Butterflies gathered a syrup stand. One of them looked like a leaf.
蜜皿に集まるチョウたち。
テーブル中央の枯れ葉にそっくりなチョウは、コノハチョウ。


That butterfly had beautiful wings.
コノハチョウは羽を広げると、なんと美しい！　びっくり。




Some butterflies were laying eggs.
オオゴマダラが、卵を産んでいました。


You can see wonderful flowers in the greenhouse.
この温室では、チョウだけでなく、花も楽しい。




This is a caterpillar of Oogomadara that is almost ready to become a pupa.
館内の学習室には、オオゴマダラの幼虫。これはさなぎになる準備中。


Oogomadara's pupa was gold! I was really surprised!
オオゴマダラのさなぎは、金ピカ！　またまたびっくり。もちろん本物です。


This is a photo of Koyaike Park from the sky.
Koyaike is a paradise for birds and people in the center of the city.

展示室にあった、上空からみた昆陽池公園の写真。
大人も子どもも楽しめる、憩いの空間でした。

Koyaike 昆陽池

I visited Koya-ike in Itami. There were lots of birds.
今日、陽気につられて、伊丹市の昆陽池を訪れた。
水鳥がたくさん。


They were eating.
えさがもらえるかもと寄ってきますが、ダメだとわかるとすぐに無視。。。


I liked them. They quacked as if a bell was tinkling.
今回のお気に入り。オナガガモ。鈴のような鳴き声がかわいい。



It had a gorgeous face.
顔が玉虫のようにきらきらグリーン。


They dived to eat.
キンクロハジロたちは、目の前で潜って行きました。黄色い目がかわいい。


I noticed something was in the box.
えさ箱に何か動物が。。。


A nutria was swimming. They had imported for their fur, became wild.
泳いでいる、ヌートリア。毛皮のために輸入され、野生化したもの。


It just landed.
岸に着いたヌートリア。大きなネズミの種類。



Onagagamo (Northern Pintail).
オナガガモの夫婦。


They were taking a nap.
お昼寝中。時々目を開けます。


They relaxed in front of me.
片足を上げて、すっかりリラックス。


I walked on the path in the woods, headed to Museum of Insects.
昆陽池公園には小鳥たちが住む林もあり、心地よいお散歩コースがありました。
