Bungle Bungle バングルバングル 4

We headed to Echidna Chasm. Our 4WD vehicle bumped along the bad road. We stopped to look at Elephant Rock.
４WDバスでガタガタ道を、次の目的地のEchidna Chasmへ向かいます。途中、エレファント・ロックが見える場所で停車。


It looked like a family of elephants.
象の親子のように見えます。映画「オーストラリア」のワンシーンに、エレファント・ロックのような岩がありました。


I enjoyed looking at the scenery from the bumping vehicle.
揺れるバスから、車窓を楽しみます。でも、ちょっと疲れてきた。。。

We headed to Cathedral Gorge.
雨期には、ここは川になっているのでしょう。先に進みます。


There was a big round space called Cathedral Gorge.
谷間の先には、大きな円形の空間がありました。Cathedral Gorge



There must be a waterfall in the wet season.
雨期には、大きな滝になっているのでしょう。


Australia has red soil.
オーストラリアは、赤い大地。赤い岩に光が当たると、


The sunshine mede red rock into orange or gold.
オレンジやゴールドになり、神々しさを感じます。


There must be a basin of a waterfall in the wet season.
雨期には、滝つぼと流れ。風景は全く違うのでしょう。




We stayed at Cathedral Gorge for a while. Then we went back to a car park.
しばらくCathedral Gorgeで過ごした後、駐車場へ戻ります。






We had a rest for tea. Then we moved to Echidna Chasm.
駐車場の近くでモーニングティーをした後、バスで移動です。

Back to my Australia trip in August. We stayed at Bungle Bungle all day on August 17. The first hiking was a pathway towards Cathedral Gorge.
オーストラリアの旅に戻ります。今年、８月17日。この日は、一日中バングルバングルで過ごしました。最初のウオーキングは、Cathedral Gorgeへ向かうコース。



There were a lot of anthills.
大きな蟻塚が、たくさんありました。





They were huge.
この蟻塚も大きい！




The path led to the left way.
左の谷へと、遊歩道は続きます。



They were tiny pretty flowers.
小さな、かわいい花が咲いていました。同じツアーの５歳のイタリア人の女の子に、折り紙のツルをあげたら「ありがとう」と、この花を一輪くれました。


This hole must be the bottom of the stream in the rainy season.
雨期には、川になるのでしょう。


Stones made these big holes.
自然の力はすごい！


Cathedral Gorge was soon.
目的地はもうすぐ。

Hakkoda 八甲田山 紅葉 2

I reached the beautiful place the man mentioned.
しばらく歩くと、人が立ち止まっていました。おじさまが言われていた「階段のところ」です。


There were many people standing on the stairs. Some people stayed there for a few hours to take nice pictures.
階段には、朝からシャッターチャンスを待っているというカメラマンも。ハイカーもしばらく立ち止まって、眺めています。




I enjoyed the wonderful scenery for a while. Then I walked down the stairs.
しばらく眺めた後、階段をゆっくり降りて、紅葉のトンネルを歩きます。


I was surprised when I looked back. Amazing autumn colors!
トンネルを抜けると、湿原が広がっていました。カメラを構えてる人がいました。何を撮っているのかと、振り返ると、、、お〜！　びっくり！　素晴らしい紅葉です。
みんな振り返ると、歓声を上げます。そして、知らない人どうしでも「すごいですね〜！」と、つい声を掛け合ってしまいます。







A few summer flowers remained.
季節はずれの、チングルマの花。


The stairs I walked down was the middle of the scenery.
真ん中の縦のラインが「階段」。たくさんの人が並んでいます。こんな紅葉の真ん中にいたのですね。


I looked back the mountains and autumn colors again and again.
何度も、振り返ります。


Finally I walked in the forest towards Sukayu Onsen.
紅葉の木々の中をお散歩。酸ヶ湯温泉を目指します。





I almost arrived at Sukayu Onsen. In winter they are covered with a lot of snow.
最後に急坂を下ると、酸ヶ湯温泉。青森３日間の旅、紅葉を満喫しました。
この日は、10月6日。現在は雪景色なのかもしれません。
