Danshui 淡水 2

January 4 2010. Santa Claus!?
暗くなってきました。この日は、2010年1月4日。
あれ？サンタがまだいる！よほど居心地が良いのでしょう。
大熱狗とは、ホットドックでしょうか。

I went back to Danshui by boat.
また船に乗って、淡水に戻ります。




I had a bowl of noodle.
さあ、夕食。


They were nice!
ここも屋台。注文すると、もう一度揚げて、渡してくれました。

Danshui 淡水 1

After I came back to the center of Taipei from Jiufen, I visited Danshui. There were shops along Danshui River.
九份から台北市内に戻り、MRTで淡水へ。淡水河の河口の街。水辺にお店が並んでいます。




I was interested in 臭豆腐, literally “stink tofu“, but I didn't have the courage to eat it.
臭豆腐。興味あるけど、食べる勇気が出ませんでした。


There were boats for the opposite bank and for Fisherman's Wharf, 漁人碼頭. I headed to Fisherman's Wharf.
対岸への渡し船。「漁人碼頭」への船もあって、楽しそうなので、乗ってみました。



I arrived at Fisherman's Wharf, 漁人碼頭. Most of visitors were young.
「漁人碼頭」に到着。若い人たちが多かった。
写真を撮ってください〜と、頼まれました。中国語で。私が外国人だと分かると、きゃあーどうしよう、、という感じで、かわいかった。





I stayed there to see the night view.
さあ、淡水へ戻ろうと思ったら、なんだか夜景が素敵な予感。暗くなるのを待ちました。

Jiufen 九份 2

This is the main street.
九份のメインの通りです。


I entered this restaurant.
おいしそうな匂い。


I had taro dumplings in adzuki beans soup.
「ぜんざい」タロイモの団子が入った、小豆汁。



A Taiwanese movie, A City of Sadness, was filmed in this place. And it is said that Jiufen is a model town of Japanese animated film, Spirited Away.

この石段では、みんな写真を撮っていました。台湾映画「非情城市」の撮影場所だとか。
九份は、ジブリ映画「千と千尋の神隠し」の街のモデルとも言われています。




I thought that was an entrance of a restaurant. But I noticed a word “Alley“, so I entered this tunnel.
石段の途中に、気になるものが。Alley（路地）と書いてあったので、入ってみました。



I took a stroll in the town.
九份は路地がたくさんあって、気ままにお散歩してみました。



Are they houses?
遠くに小さな家？


No, it was a graveyard. It reminded me of Okinawa graveyard.
お墓ですね。沖縄のお墓も大きかった。


There used be a gold rush.
ゴールドラッシュの頃のモニュメント。



There were many shops.
またお店をのぞきながら、バス停へ。



They were frying prawn balls.
「エビ団子」注文を聞いてから、揚げてくれました。

Jiufen 九份 1

I visited Jiufen by bus. I could see the sea from an observation deck.
最初にバスで九份を訪れました。金瓜石も訪れたかったけれど、黄金博物園区が定休日だったので、あきらめました。
もやがかかっていますが、海が見えました。


Jiufen has many steep slopes.
九份は坂が多い町です。


I noticed a colorful building. I went to look it closer.
色鮮やかな建物に気付きました。行ってみましょう。




I was impressed these beautiful stone carvings!
石の彫刻が素晴らしい！





I got into it.
内部は、カラフルなお堂。霊廟なのですね。


I found another temple while I was walking in the town.
お散歩の途中で、もう一カ所見つけました。


There were many dragons on the roof. It reminded of my Ishigaki trip in 2008.
龍がたくさん。
2008年に訪れた、石垣島の唐人墓を思い出しました。
