Goshiki-numa in 2003 五色沼

Autumn, leaves turn into yellow or red, is coming soon. I remembered my Fukushima trip in 2003. I was little late for the autumn color, but the color of ponds was amazing.
もうすぐ10月、紅葉の季節。今年は、どこへ行こうかしら。
４年前に訪れた福島県の五色沼は、紅葉には少し遅かったけれど、水面の色に感動。お気に入りの場所のひとつになった。


I climbed up Mt.Bandai.
猪苗代駅からタクシーで登山口へ。猪苗代スキー場の中の登山道を通り、磐梯山の山頂へ。


I could see several ponds from the top of Mt.Bandai.
山頂からは、いくつか沼が見える。


I walked down the mountain, walked around ponds, Goshikinuma(five colors ponds). Mt.Bandai reflected on the pond. There were many people taking photos.
I stayed at YH near this pond. I came here to see twinkling stars with other guests at night.
五色沼のひとつ。磐梯山の姿が、水面に映る。
ここでは、カメラマンがたーくさん三脚を立てていました。
YHはこの近くにありました。夜、YHで出会った旅人たちとこの辺りまでやってきて、星を眺めました。


The color of water was mysterious.
神秘的な水面の色。沼によって、色が違います。




Oguni-numa. Lots of yellow flowers bloom around the pond in summer.
雄国沼。夏にはニッコウキスゲが咲いているそうです。

Bon dance 盆踊り

Amy, I shaired a room with at Bibaushi YH, said “I’m going to see fireworks at Biei after dinner.” I joined her with other guests.
As we arrived at Biei, Bon dance started. At first dancers in kimono were dancing, then dancers in costumes were dancing.
It was interesting.
美馬牛リバティYH３泊目の夕方、同室者のAmyが美瑛でお祭りがあり、花火も上がるので夕食後に出かけると。では、私も行きましょうと、他の旅人たちも誘って訪れた。
美瑛に着いて間もなく、仮装盆踊り大会が始まった。最初は、普通の着物の踊り子さんたち。途中から仮装した踊り子さんたち。
それぞれ、工夫して作った衣装を着て、とても楽しそう。
観客からも、大きな声がかかる。




After Bon dance, fireworks started. We enjoyed very much, we almost missed the train to Bibaushi.
I was lucky to visit a local festival by chance.
仮装盆踊り大会の審査結果の発表のあと、花火大会。
見とれていたら、美馬牛に戻る電車に乗り遅れそうに。。。
地元のお祭りも見れて、ラッキーでした。

Farm パッチワークの丘

Fields of Biei made the beautiful scenery.
Corn field.
美瑛のお花畑はすごいけど、やっぱりメインは農作物が育つ畑。
トウモロコシはあちこちで実っていました。

Wild flowers 野花たち

I saw wild flowers during I was cycling in Biei. They were so lovely.
サイクリングの途中に出会ったお花たちも、すごい。

Flower farms 2 お花畑

Shikisai-no-oka.
美馬牛の近く、「四季彩の丘」。


On the sunny day, I could see mountains over there. It was great.
サイクリング２日目のこの日は、朝からいい天気。向こうに十勝連峰、トムラウシ、大雪山系がずらーと見渡せました。


Cosmoses were lovely.
コスモス畑もありました。





Kanno Farm.
美馬牛駅の反対側、「かんのファーム」。




I could see the mountains from an observation point of Kanno Farm. I had a delicious lunch at Gosh near here.
「かんのファーム」の展望台からも、十勝連峰から大雪山系が見渡せました。美馬牛小学校のとんがり屋根も見えます。
おいしいランチを頂いた、「ゴーシュ」さんも、この近くでした。


I was really impressed on these flower farms.
美瑛／美馬牛のお花畑は、すごいです。

When I visited Shinei-no-oka on my cycling in Biei, I was surprised. I didn’t know there were flower farms in Biei.
Sightseeing buses came one after another. A half of them were speaking in Chinese.

美瑛のサイクリングの途中、「新栄の丘展望台」に寄って、びっくり。美瑛の丘にお花畑があるなんて、知らなかったから。
ここには、観光バスが次々とやって来て、みなさん記念撮影。中国語を話す人たちも多かったです。
