Kushiro Zoo 釧路市動物園 1

 I went to Kushiro from Nemuro by train. On the following day, I visited Kushiro Zoo. 

根室から電車で釧路へ戻り１泊。最終日、シマフクロウを見たくて釧路市動物園を訪れました。今年から旭川市の旭山動物園でも見られるようになったとか。平日の動物園は静かでした。

 It was a weekday. The zoo was almost deserted.

一日一回のもぐもぐタイム。観客は３人ぽっち。

 This seal was a baby.

この日、初公開のこどもアザラシ。

 They are good friends even they are different species.

大丈夫かい？と、おとなりさん。種は違っても、アザラシどうし仲良し。

 It was a feeding time.

アザラシたちも、もぐもぐタイム。

 Crows are watching for a chance to get fish. The seal in the pool was clapping its flippers to pay attention to the staff.

魚を狙うカラスたち。カラスが気になるアザラシ。こっちもちょうだい！とパチパチするアザラシ。

 Penguins. Some of them were babies.

こどもペンギンたちと、胸を張るおとなペンギン。

 This Amur tiger has a problem with her leg.

後ろ足が悪いアムールトラ。軟骨形成不全症だとか。

 There was a photo of her and her brother.

こどもの頃の写真もありました。

 Brown bears were having a nap.

ヒグマはお昼寝中。

This bear was expecting for getting snacks which were sold next to the cage.

おやつちょうだい、とやってくるヒグマ。クッキーのようなヒグマのおやつが売られていました。

Nemuro 根室 3

 Nosappu Cape is the tip of Nemuro Peninsula. I could see the islands of the Northern Territories.

納沙布岬。北方領土の島々が見えました。

 Hoppo-kan. 

北方館。北方領土について知ることが出来ます。

 The sightseeing bus run along the coast.

バスは海岸沿いを走ります。

 There were various species of birds in Nemuro. I noticed red-crowned cranes eating in the river.

根室は自然豊かなところ。多くの野鳥も観察されます。

白く見えるのは、タンチョウヅルたち！

 Furen-ko.

風蓮湖。

Steller's sea-eagles migrate from Russia in winter. I'd like to see them someday!

冬にはオオワシがやって来るそうです。

根室はホント、いいところ。次はいつ訪れることができるかしら。楽しみ！

Nemuro 根室 2

 I took a sightseeing bus in Nemuro. We went down to see Hanasaki Kurumaishi.

ねむろ半島遊覧バス「のさっぷ号」に乗って、根室の見どころを回りました。JR根室駅前発着の定期観光バスで、JRの時間に合わせています。そのため停車地それぞれが短めの時間で、忙しい感じがしました。

花咲車石は海岸にありました。階段を降りていきます。

 Hanasaki Kurumaishi. It looked like a wheel.

花咲車石。

 There were various interesting rocks around there.

有名なのは、まあるい車石ですが、その周辺の岩も楽しい！

 There was something look like Kurumaishi.

階段を登って、駐車場へ。まあるい車石に似せた建物。

It was a public toilet.

トイレでした。

Nemuro 根室 1

I stayed at Minshuku Takano (KEN's INN) in Nemuro for one night. 

落石ネイチャークルーズのガイドもされている、たかのさんの民宿で１泊。鳥の図鑑など、鳥好きには楽しい部屋がありました。バードウオッチングや自然ガイドのプランもあるそうです。

 I had a delicious dinner!

夕食は海の幸でお腹いっぱい！

 Nemuro has many slopes. 

根室に初めてきて、不思議に思ったのが坂が多いこと。波打つように登っては下り、また登りと。これは昔、根室半島が氷河に覆われていて、溶ける過程で波打つような地形になったとか。

 There was a shrine on that island.

違う場所から見ると、島の上の神社がはっきり見えました。

 I went to Meiji Park. 

根室駅から徒歩約20分、明治公園。

People were strolling and jogging. I heard various songs of birds. There was a shelter to observe birds (hide) in the park.

明治公園は市民の憩いの場。姿はなかなか見れないけれど、いろいろな鳥の声が聞こえてきます。ここにはハイドという野鳥観察小屋があります。
