To Teuri 天売島へ

 After breakfast I headed to Teuri Island by ferry.

朝食後、ユースホステルから港へ送っていただき、フェリーで天売島へ。

 I enjoyed bird-watching during the cruise. They are Rhinoceros Auklet.

フェリーが出港後、海を見てびっくり。ウトウたちがたくさんいました。

 Rhinoceros Auklet looked like Puffin.

飛ぶ姿が、アイスランドのパフィンたちにそっくり。

 I saw them several times in this cruise.

この鳥たちをよく見かけました。

 At first the ferry arrived at Yagishiri Island. 

まず焼尻島に到着。

 There were many birds in the harbor.

焼尻島の港にも、ウトウやカモメ。

 The ferry left Yagishiri Island, headed to Teuri Island.

天売島へ出港。アカエリヒレアシシギたち。

 It took about 90 minutes from Haboro to Teuri.

天売島到着まで、ウトウやアカエリアシヒレシギに何度も会いました。

 I arrived at Teuri Island. I rent an electronically assisted bicycle. At first I went to a visiter center, Umi-no-Uchukan. Then I went around a shrine.

天売島に到着。荷物を宿の人に預け、電動自転車をレンタル。真っ先にビジターセンター「海の宇宙館」へ行き、ボートウオッチング出港予定を尋ねると、幸運なことに当日乗れることになりました。出港時間までてくてくお散歩。この神社周辺にはたくさんの鳥たちと、

 I found a beautiful butterfly.

とてもきれいな蝶。

ここでは５月下旬にサクラが満開でした。

Haboro 羽幌

 I stayed in Haboro the day before I headed to Teuri Island in the end of May. I stayed at YH.

５月下旬、天売島へ。この時期、天売島へのフェリーは１日２往復なので、フェリー乗り場のある羽幌で１泊。快適なユースホステルでした。

 On the following morning, I took a walk around the YH.

早朝、ユースホステルの周辺をてくてくお散歩。キジバト。

Nishioka Park 西岡公園

 I visited Nishioka Park in Sapporo in the end of May. 

以前から気になっていた、札幌市西岡公園へ、地下鉄とバスで訪れたのは５月下旬。

 It’s a reservoir of Sapporo.

ここは水源地。小屋にみえるのは、取水塔。

 Mallard

マガモ。冬には水鳥たちがたくさん訪れるのでしょう。

 I took a walk under the fresh green leaves of the trees.

新緑の中、てくてくお散歩。

 I walked on the board way in the swamp area.

湿原には木道があります。

 Cicada

ハルゼミたちが、にぎやかに鳴いていました。

 Many birds were singing.

小鳥たちもたくさん鳴いていました。

 I found insects.

ここでは、たくさんの生き物たち。

 That woodpecker caught a cicada.

セミを捕まえたのね。

I had a pleasant walk in the park.

誰もが楽しめる、素敵な公園でした。
