Kushiro Marsh 釧路湿原

 We went to Kushiro City Marsh Observatory. We could see the mountains covered with snow around Lake Akan.

阿寒湖から、釧路湿原へ。湿原展望台から阿寒湖の方を眺めます。

 It was difficult to see Kushiro Marsh from the observatory.

ここからは、湿原まで距離があります。

 We walked on a path towards Kushiro Marsh.

遊歩道を進みましょう。

 We arrived at Satellite Viewpoint. We saw two red-crowned cranes walking through binoculars.

サテライト展望台。写真には写っていませんが、今は遊歩道になっている鶴居軌道敷跡を２羽のタンチョウヅルが歩いていました。それを双眼鏡で眺めて楽しみました。

 We went to Onnenai Visitor Center by bus. Then we took a walk on the pathway of the marsh.

湿原の木道を歩きたい。バスで温根内ビジターセンターへ移動。

Kushiro Marsh will be covered with snow soon.

もうすぐ、一面銀世界の冬がやってくるのでしょう。

Lake Akan 阿寒湖 朝

 On the following morning, it was sunny. 

次の朝、良い天気。朝日が雪の積もった山をオレンジに染めていました。

 Mt. Meakan

雌阿寒岳。

 I went back to the hotel for breakfast.

朝食にホテルに戻ります。

 After breakfast I went out again.

朝食後、山は白に戻っていました。

 This is the view from our room. It was marvelous!

ホテルの部屋から阿寒湖。

Lake Akan 阿寒湖温泉

 We went to Akankohan Eco Museum Center before heading a hotel. This fish is Ito, one of salmon species.

イトウです。ホテルのチェックインまで少し時間があったので、阿寒湖畔エコミュージアムセンターへ。

 Brown bear is huge!

ヒグマです。大きい！

 This is the forest which I'd seen a squirrel, Ezorisu.

ボッケまでお散歩。今年２月にエゾリスに出会った森です。

 Bokke.

ボッケ。

 I wanted to stroll more, but it was snowing. We headed to a hotel. There were some spots of hot spring.

天気が悪いので、お散歩は少しにしてホテルへ。商店街の温泉で手浴。

 On the night, we went to see a performance of the ancient Ainu dance. 

夜、アイヌ民族舞踊を見に行きました。とっても素敵な30分間でした。

Marimo マリモ

 We took a sightseeing boat. When I'd visited in February, Akan Lake  had been covered with thick ice. The boat stopped by an island. There is The Marimo Exhibition and Observation Center on the island.

昼食後、阿寒湖遊覧船に乗りました。２月に訪れた時は、厚い氷で覆われていました。雪は強くなり、だんだん積もっていきます。

遊覧船はマリモ展示観察センターがあるチュウルイ島へ。

 If the weather has been nice, we could've seen a beautiful scenery.

雪のため、展望台からは何も見えません。天気が良ければ、雌阿寒岳や雄阿寒岳が見えるそうです。

 The Marimo Exhibition and Observation Center. Marimo exist only two places in the world, Akan Lake and Mývatn in Iceland.

マリモ展示観察センター。マリモは阿寒湖と、アイスランドのミーヴァトン湖でしか見られないとか。

冬期は閉館。展示されているマリモは阿寒湖に戻されるそうです。

 This is the biggest one in this year.

今年、採取された中で最大のマリモ。

 We were back to the boat.

遊覧船に戻ります。

 The sightseeing boat went to a small bay. There were small islands.

観光船は、滝口という景勝地を巡ります。新緑や紅葉の時期はもっと素晴らしいのでしょう。
