Black-necked Crane オグロヅル

 I flew to Kushiro in Hokkaido with my parents on November 17. On the following morning, we went to Kushiro City Akan International Crane center. It was raining. This crane is Black-necked Crane.

両親と道東へ、３人ふらり旅。11月17日夜に釧路へ飛び、一泊。

18日、雨降る中、バスで阿寒国際ツルセンター「グルス」へ。前回訪れたのは、今年２月。

タンチョウヅルに似ているけど、首が黒いオグロヅル。

 This species of crane was discovered about 100 years ago.

100年程前に初めて見つかった、貴重な鳥だそうです。

 He was waking toward me. 

人の姿を見つけると、ゆっくり近寄ってきます。

コウノトリのように目つきが悪いけれど、、、かわいい。

 There were three cranes in the cage.

ゲージで育てられているタンチョウヅルたちは、知らんぷり。でもかわいい。

 It was a display how to raise chicks by people.

グルス内の展示。ヒナを育てる時は、こうするんですね。

 While we stayed at the Crane Center, we saw only two wild cranes with a telescope. It was the first time to see wild cranes for my parents, they looked happy. There were many small birds.

グルスにやってきた野生のタンチョウヅルは２羽だけでした。少し早かったみたい。。。

それでも望遠鏡で見て、感動の３人でした。

小鳥はたくさん。これはハシブトガラかしら。

We went to Lake Akan by bus. It was snowing. 

I had a bowl of rice topped with venison for lunch.

バスで阿寒湖畔へ。雪が降っていました。

まずは昼食。ご当地グルメ、鹿肉の阿寒やきとり丼。お店によって味が違いますが、これは美味しかった！

Isahaya Park 諫早公園

 I went to Isahaya Park (the site of Isahaya Castle) on my way from Unzen to Nagasaki Airport.

This stone bridge is called Megane-bashi (glasses bridge) 

雲仙温泉から長崎空港へ向かう途中、時間があったので諫早公園（諫早城址）へ行ってみました。

眼鏡橋。本来はすぐそばの本明川にありました。

 I took a stroll in the park.

諫早公園をてくてくお散歩。

 There was a huge tree on the top of the hill.

頂上には大きなクスノキ！

 The view from the top of the hill.

諫早のまちが見渡せます。

 There was a shrine.

奥には祠がありました。

 There were many birds singing.

緑の多い公園内。野鳥の声も聞こえてきます。

 That hill is Isahaya Park.

緑の丘が諫早公園です。

This area often suffered from floods, bridges were washed away. People used these stones, Tobiishi, to cross the river.  

昔から川はたびたび氾濫して、橋を流していたそうです。そのため、この「飛び石」が使われていたそうです。

Unzen Onsen 雲仙温泉 3

 There is a pathway between Satsunohara and Shojigoku. It was difficult to find the entrance to the pathway, I asked a local woman.

札の原地区と小地獄の間には、素敵なお散歩道がありました。

札の原地区からの入り口は分かりにくく、地元の人に聞いてやっと発見。

 There was a sign of Issaikyo-no-Taki「一切経ノ滝」

「一切経ノ滝」という標識。

 It was a pleasant walking.

緑と木漏れ日。

 I went to Chiondo by the pathway.

途中、知恩洞へ寄りました。

 It's a natural tunnel. 

自然のトンネル。

 I went back to the pathway. 

元の道に戻ります。急な下り坂。

 I sometimes looked back. There were moss-covered rocks.

振り返ると、苔のある景色。小地獄からの入り口の方が分かりやすいし、逆方向に歩いた方が良いかも。

 I crossed a stream.

小川を渡ったり。

 I arrived at a shrine.

祠がありました。

 There was a waterfall, Issaikyo-no-Taki, by the shrine.

一切経ノ滝。それは素敵な滝でした！　しばらく自然に癒されます。

Unzen Onsen has not only hot spring, but also the great nature.

ここは旅館かしら。紅葉がきれいです。

雲仙は温泉や地獄だけでなく、見どころたっぷり、自然豊かな場所でした。

Unzen Onsen 雲仙温泉 2

 I stayed at Unzen Onsen one night. On the following morning, I planed to go to Nita Pass again. But the road to Nita Pass was closed because of dense fog. I took a walk around Unzen Onsen.

Gensei-Numa. You can see flowers of iris in May.

雲仙温泉で１泊。次の日も仁田峠へ行こうと思っていましたが、濃霧のためでしょう通行止めでした。

雲仙温泉の周辺をてくてくお散歩。

ここは原生沼。カキツバタなど、季節によって美しい花が見られるそうです。

 Oshidori-no-ike. There were many birds floating on the pond. There is a pathway around the pond.

おしどりの池。水鳥たちが浮かんでいました。

周囲にはお散歩コースがあるそうです。

 There are many pathways under the shade of trees. You can hear the songs of birds.

旧八幡地獄の周辺は緑に囲まれたお散歩道。

白雲の池へ向かうお散歩道も野鳥が迎えてくれる。

 Shirakumo-no-ike.

白雲の池。すぐ近くに駐車場もあります。 

 There is a campsite by the pond.

白雲の池。明治時代から、外国人観光客も楽しんだ場所。

そばにはキャンプ場もあります。

 I found mushroom by the pathway.

白雲の池からお散歩道を歩いて、札の原地区へ。

 Kataashi-Torii. 

片足鳥居。以前、雲仙は女人禁制の霊山で、この鳥居から先は女性は行けなかったとか。
