Asahikawa 冬まつり 2

Asahikawa Winter Festival.
旭川の冬まつり。メインの旭橋河畔会場。


This huge snow sculpture had a stage, a slide and an observation deck.
There was a huge snow man two years ago.

大雪像。大雪山連峰、旭橋、キレンジャクやナナカマド。イベントの舞台あり、すべり台あり、展望台あり。
２年前は、大きな雪だるまでした。






There were funny sculptures.
小雪像も楽しい。

This show was fantastic!
10分間の音楽と光のショー。






I bought local foods at stalls, and I had them in a warm temporary room. It was a wonderful night.
北海道各地の美味しい食べ物を暖かいプレハブの中で堪能して、心も身体もぽかぽか。

Meiji Jingu 明治神宮

I flew to Tokyo to watch an incredible show of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL on February 21th. I visited Meiji Jingu before the show.

2月21日。シルク・ド・ソレイユの「クーザ」を見に東京へ。原宿に着くと、緑に囲まれた鳥居に気付いた。明治神宮。時間があったので、行ってみました。


There were many tourists from all over the world.
外国人観光客も、とても多い。




This wooden shrine gate was huge.
大きな木製の鳥居。








I really enjoyed the performance of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.
シルク・ド・ソレイユの「クーザ」
期待以上の素晴らしいパフォーマンス。東京公演の後は、大阪、名古屋、仙台公演が予定されているらしい。

Atami 熱海 3

I took a walk in the town with a map. Atami Zakura.
地図を片手に、熱海の町をてくてくお散歩。
来宮駅前のあたみ桜。



There were many steep slops and stairs in Atami.
熱海は海からすぐ山が迫っていて、坂や階段が多い。



I walked along the coast.
海へ降りてきました。



Atami is famous for a novel, Konjiki-Yasha.
熱海といえば、、、



I went up toward Atami station.
この辺りを上ると、駅へ戻れそう。おさかなたちが、頑張ってね〜と応援してくれます。


Shops and restaurants were lined near Atami station.
駅前には、商店街。



I had a bowl of rice with the young sardines and small pink shrimps.

お昼どきで、お店の前で約30分待ちましたが、、、三色丼。ゆでしらす、生しらす、そしてこの日は「生もご用意できます」と言われて、生桜エビ！

Atami 熱海 2

I stayed at a hotel with a hot spring.
熱海で１泊。とても気持ち良い温泉宿で、素泊まり平日3980円は嬉しい。
熱海の町では、あちこちで湯煙が上がっていました。


Oyu Kanketsusen, an intermittent spring. It used be a great geyser, but it stopped spouting out in 1924. Now hot spring artificially spout out for three minutes at four-minute intervals.

大湯間歇泉。大正12年の関東大震災以降、噴出が止まっていましたが、昭和37年に復活工事されて、現在は4分ごとに3分間噴出しているそうです。



I took a stroll. I noticed a shrine on the other side of railway.
てくてくお散歩。おもしろい橋げただなぁと、写真を撮っていたら、トンネルの向こうに神社があるのに気付いた。


I went to the shrine. It had a huge tree which was over 2000 years old.
行ってみると、なんだかすごいみたい。


I was surprised that tree was huge.
これが大楠なのか〜！と感動して見ていたら、


But that was second bigger tree.
これは第二大楠で、大楠はもっと奥にあるらしい。


It was a main shrine.
本殿で手を合わせて、先に進みます。


It was the over 2000 years old tree. There was a pathway around it.
これが大楠。周囲に歩道がありました。


People prayed from behind.
後ろ側で手を合わせて、願いごとを言うらしい。
