Kalbarri カルバリー

We stayed at Kalbarri on the forth night.
We could see the Indian Ocean and a calm beach at the same time from the observation point.
４泊目はカルバリーという小さな町。
展望台からは、インド洋の荒々しい波と、入り江のような穏やかな海岸が同時に見られました。




I took a walk in the town.
カルバリーの海岸を、てくてくお散歩。


I noticed something moving on the sand. It was a cute lizard.
足元で何かが。。。　かわいい顔をした、体長20-30cmのトカゲ？　
カメラを向けると、びっくりしたように、ぴたっと動きを止めました。


Parrots were flying in the sky.
空にはオウム。





I spent peaceful time in the park until the sunset.
夕食は公園のベンチで風景を見ながら、ホットドッグを。
夕陽も素敵でした。

Kalbarri National Park カルバリー国立公園

There are many wonderful gorges in Australia. We visited one of them, Kalbarri National Park.
オーストラリアには見ごたえのある峡谷がたくさんありますが、私たちが訪れたのはカルバリー国立公園。


I'd like to walk on the trail in this place someday.
ここには、トレッキングコースがあるそうです。いつか歩いてみたいなぁ。

The One Mile Jetty 2

I walked back, climbed up...
桟橋から戻り、展望台から360°のパノラマ風景を楽しみました。ここは、、、


What I climbed up was a water tower lookout. This tank used to filled with water for steam ships and steam trains, and in case of fire.
以前、給水タンクとして使われていた施設からの風景でした。
ここに蓄えられた水は、蒸気機関車や蒸気船、そして火事の時の消火用水として使われていたそうです。


There were steam trains in the museum.
博物館の開館時間となりました。以前働いていた蒸気機関車が展示されていました。



It was big.
これは、大きい。


I had never heard of camel wagons before...
ラクダが荷車を引いていたなんて、びっくりです。


A sightseeing train was preparing.
観光用の機関車が準備されていました。

The One Mile Jetty 1

I visited The One Mile Jetty in Carnarvon on Western Australia bus tour last year.
昨年、西オーストラリアバスツアーの４日目。「今朝の予定はどこだっけ？」「ジェッティに行くんだよ。」という朝食での会話。ジェッティってなんだろう。。。バスが着いたのは、ここでした。
カナーボンの１マイルジェッティ。インド洋に1500m突き出た桟橋。


We walked toward the end of the jetty.
桟橋の先に向かって歩きます。


There was a mangrove forest around the jetty. These birds might build their nests.
辺りはマングローブの森。鳥たちの巣もあるのでしょう。


I began to see the Indian Ocean.
海が見えてきました。



We couldn't go beyond this point.
歩けるのは、ここまで。


The jetty was damaged.
その先で壊れていました。


Ships used to berth often.
昔の写真がありました。大きな船がやってきたのですね。



Here is good for fishing.
釣り人にも、良いところのようです。

Wild flowers ワイルドフラワー 4

There were lots of wildflowers at the coastline.
海の近くにも、ワイルドフラワーがたくさん。








Australia has many incredible coastlines.
オーストラリアには、景観の素晴らしい海岸線はたくさんありますが、ここもそのひとつ。

蝶のような花でかわいいなぁ。

Our guide often said "Take your time" on 5days tour. When our bus headed to Perth, a woman said to the guide "I'd like to see wild flowers. Could you stop the bus?" Soon after our bus stopped. We took off the bus, walked into countless wild flowers.

昨年の西オーストラリアの旅。５日間のバスツアーのガイド兼ドライバーがよく言っていた言葉。"Take your time!" 「あなた達の旅だから、停車時間は15分でも30分でも良いよ」とも言っていた。
車窓からワイルドフラワーを眺めていたら、乗客の一人が「花を見たいから、バスを停めて！」ドライバーは、すぐ停めてくれました。


We were surprised to see the wonderful landscape. We took photos of flowers and took photos each other.
一面、ワイルドフラワー。公園でも保護区でもない、車道わきの場所。
とっても素敵でした。こんな風景が何百キロと続いているのですね。











I'd like to visit there again someday.
また訪れたい場所です。
