Sapporo 札幌 春

I flew to Hokkaido to see flowers of spring. I planed to visit only Asahikawa. But I heard an announce in the airplane "cherry trees were in full blossom now." It reminded me of the former Hokkaido prefectural office building which I had visited in winter. I stopped at Sapporo on my way to Asahikawa.

春の花が見たくて、4月26日北海道へ飛んだ。目的地は旭川。
飛行機内のアナウンスが「こちらでは、サクラが満開になっております。」というのを聞き、北海道庁旧本庁舎の敷地内に桜の木があったのを思い出した。
昼のフライトだったので、すぐに旭川へ向かってもお散歩する時間はない。そこで、札幌に少し寄ることにしました。
冬は氷と雪の世界だった。冬の札幌 。


Most of cherry trees were budding.
旧庁舎の前方のあった桜の木たちは、またつぼみでした。ソメイヨシノではなさそうです。


A few trees were in full blossom.
しかし、きれいに咲いている桜が池のほとりにありました。






Pink flowers were blooming, Tsutsuji.
ツツジの花。


Tulips were blooming.
I stayed at Asahikawa on the night. On the following morning I went to see pretty flowers in Asahikawa.

チューリップと旧本庁舎。
このあと旭川へ向かい、一泊。次の朝、花たちの中をお散歩しました。

Blue Mountains in 2006 鍾乳洞

On the following day, it was raining and thick foggy. I visited Jenolan Caves on a tour. There were several caves. Before I entered the cave, I took a walk around.

ユーカリの森、お散歩の次の日は、濃い霧や雨。前日に申し込んだツアーに参加しました。
まずは、ブルーマウンテンズを見渡せる、カトゥーンバから少し離れた場所に寄りましたが、何も見えず。次にジェノランケーブへ向かいました。ここには、いくつか鍾乳洞があり、ガイドについて見学します。
見学時間まで、周囲をお散歩。池がありました。


It was a nature tunnel.
鍾乳洞の入り口がある、自然にできたトンネル。


The other end of the tunnel was big. Tourists gathered at the entrance of the caves in this tunnel, followed our guide.
トンネルのもう一方の入り口は、こんなに大きい。見学者はこのトンネルの中で集合し、ガイドからの説明の後、ガイドについて鍾乳洞へ入ります。


The guide often stopped and explained.
ガイドは時々立ち止まり、説明をしてくれます。


There was a huge hall in the cave. The guide said that concerts were sometimes held there.
大きな空間の場所もあり、コンサートが開催されることもあるとか。照明が厳かな感じを出します。



This column was broken by an earthquake.
数十年前の地震で折れたとか。



There were tiny glitter stones on the limestone. It was so beautiful.
写真では見えませんが、こまかなキラキラがこの辺り一面。とてもきれいでした。




There were letters that people might have written in the old days.
調査した人たちが書いたのでしょうか。文字が見えます。


I went back to Katoomba, then got to Sydney by train. I stayed at Sydney YHA on the night. I walked to a park in Sydney on the following morning.
鍾乳洞からカトゥーンバへ戻り、電車でシドニーへ。シドニーYHで一泊して、朝公園をお散歩しました。


Whenever I visit Australia, I'm pleased with wonderful nature.
オーストラリアは自然いっぱいで、いつも満足の旅です。

Gum trees were beautiful.
ユーカリの木、とても素敵です。



The pathway was led in the woods and observation points.
森の中に入ったり、眺めの良い場所に出たり。展望台では、女性に道を訪ねられました。また、私の地図の出番です。



I passed on a bridge. I looked down from there. It was too high, I was scared.
小さな橋を渡りました。下をのぞくと、、、すごい高さでした。


The bridge I had passed was on the right of this photo.
先ほどの小さな橋は、右の階段に続いていました。



I wandered that what these holes were.
断崖に穴が開いています。どうなっているのかしら。


I finished hiking on the path at 5pm. Then I walked on the paved road to the YH. I noticed a parrot on a branch on my way to the YH.
時間はもう夕方５時。ハイキングを終えることにしました。車道を通りYHへ。途中、カラフルなインコに出会いました。さすがオーストラリアです。


I enjoyed hiking all day. But the following day was rainy and foggy. I visited a cave on a tour.
この日、早朝から夕方までよく歩きました。天気も素晴らしくて、良い思い出です。次の日は、また雨と霧。鍾乳洞を訪れました。

Blue Mountains in 2006 ブッシュウオーキング 3

I kept walking on the path along the edge of the cliff. There were many observation points.
断崖沿いのお散歩道を歩きました。時々、景色の良い展望台がありました。


There was a big waterfall called Bridal Veil Falls. It was a beautiful waterfall.
また、大きな滝が見えました。ブライダル・ベール滝。名前のように、美しい滝でした。


I found that there was a nice stream. I went down to look it closer.
下の方に、きれいな流れが見えました。降りてみました。


It was called Leura Cascades.
小さな滝が連続していて、美しい流れでした。ルーラ・カスケード。駐車場から500m~1000mくらいで来れるようです。


Flowers were blooming.
バンクシアなどの花が咲いていました。



I went to another observation point. I was scared to stand on the edge of the cliff.
また、断崖の上の展望台。足がすくみます。


I could see Bridal Veil Falls on the different side.
ブライダル・ベール滝が、また違う角度で見れました。


Each cliff had a different impression. I kept on walking little more.
断崖がたくさんあって、それぞれ表情が違いますね。もう少し、お散歩を続けました。

There were many tourists walking between Scenic Railway and Three Sisters. But after I passed Three Sisters, I saw few people. What I heard was the sound of birds, winds and water flowing.

ほどんど坂のないブッシュウオーキング。子どもから年配の人たちまで、楽しんでいました。木陰をてくてくお散歩。しかし、有名な”スリーシスターズ”と言われる大きな岩の近くを過ぎると観光客はほとんど見かけなくなりました。
鳥たちの鳴き声を聞きながら、植物を見ながら、てくてくお散歩。聞こえるのは、鳥の声、風が木々を揺らす音、水の流れる音。また、自然との対話をしている気分になりました。小さな滝が現れました。


The pathway led to the steep slope and stairs. Waterfalls and cascades appeared one after another.
遊歩道は、断崖を登る道へとなりました。小さな滝が次々と現れます。


I was getting tired, because there were lots of steps. But these beautiful waterfalls encouraged me.
坂や階段を登れども登れども、登りが続きます。さすがの私も、疲れてきましたが、小川や滝の美しさで癒されました。こんな素敵なお散歩道を独りじめ。なんて贅沢なのでしょう。





Finally I reached at the top of the cliff. I had a rest at a kiosk, then kept bush walking.
ついに高台近くまで登ってきました。この先の車道脇にレストランとキオスクがあり、少し休憩してお散歩を続けました。

I had lunch at Scenic World. After lunch, I noticed that there was a pathway from the top of the cliff to the bottom. I decided to go to the bottom by foot. I climbed down on steep slops and stairs.

シーニック・ワールドで景色を眺めながら、サンドイッチのランチ。谷へはシーニック・レイルウエイに乗って降りようと思っていたのですが、歩いて降りれる遊歩道を発見。歩くことにしました。急な坂や階段が続きます。
オーストラリアではハイキングのことを”Bush Walking ブッシュウオーキング”と言うそうです。


I bought a walking guide on the previous night at the YH.
前日、YHで買ったガイドブックに、イラスト入りの地図がありました。


There was a pathway toward Katoomba Waterfall.
ロープウエイから見えた滝、カトゥンバ滝。滝の真ん中あたりへと続く遊歩道があり、寄ってみました。


The pathway was surrounded by trees.
豊な緑に囲まれた遊歩道。とても気持ち良い。

I was alone at the time. It was very quiet. I felt like the nature talked to me something important.
断崖の高い滝と、それに続く広い滝。そして周りに緑。こんな景色を独りじめ。
とても神秘的で、自然から何か語りかけられたような瞬間でした。


Many tourists walked down the cliff on the walking track.
谷へと降りる遊歩道に戻りました。遊歩道を歩く人は結構いました。


People have enjoyed this great view for a long time. I imagine that it was difficult to walk in a such dress.
昔の人々も、この景色を楽しんでいたのですね。しかし、こんな服装での山歩きは大変だったことでしょう。


There were signs not to be lost. But I met an elderly couple climbing up. They asked me if Railway to the top would be soon. I showed my walking guide and told them the correct pathway.

遊歩道は整備されています。しかし、息を切らせながら登ってくる年配の夫婦に出会いました。「上へ登るレイルウエイはもうすぐですか？」と聞かれ、地図を見せながら道を間違えていることを教えました。「この人がこっちだと言うものだから。。。」「ありがとう」と飴をいただきました。


I enjoyed various scenery, it was a pleasant bush walking.
こんなところもありました。とても楽しいお散歩。


I also enjoyed various plants.
とんがり葉っぱ。


There were tiny flowers.
小さい花たち。




I walked and jogged down the pathway for about thirty minute, reached at the bottom of the cliff. Then I kept on walking on the walking track along the cliff.

時々かけ足で約30分。谷底へ着きました。歩いて降りて良かったー。
ここにはレイルウエイで降りてきた人たちもいて、たくさんの人たちがお散歩を楽しんでいました。ここからは、断崖沿いに歩きました。
